Pies


Aunt Margaret’s Hershey Bar Pie            Ron & Glenda Mixer
½ cup milk
25 marshmallows            2 cup Cool Whip, about
6 Hershey bars with almonds
Melt milk, marshmallows & candy bar in double boiler.  Let cool & put into pie shell. Before serving put Cool Whip on top.

Lillie Mae Mack’s Sweet Potato Pie             Nancy Mack
1 can sweet potatoes, mashed (about 2 cup)
1 tsp cinnamon            ¾ cup sugar
½ tsp nutmeg            ½ cup butter
2 eggs            1 tsp vanilla
May add a little flour to thicken if needed.
Add to browned crust.  Bake.

Pie Crust                        Gig’s & Rhonda Reich
3 cup flour            1 egg
1 ½ cup shortening            1 tsp vinegar
pinch salt            5 Tbsp water
Mix column one.  Mix column 2. Mix both mixtures well.  After everything is mix together roll out to make your pie crust. Yield: double layer.

Pie Crust                        Gig’s & Rhonda Reich
1 ¼ cup flour            ½ cup oil
2 Tbsp sugar            2 Tbsp milk
Mix with fork. Press in pie pan. Bake until golden brown if no filling is used yet.
