  1. Dear Fjordbak family. I am writing to you in the interest of finding out if we could be related some how. I live in Denmark and my grandfather Åge Fjordbak was born near Lokken, Denmark - just as your ancestor Bernhard Fjordbak. My grandfather was the only one, out of a large group of siblings, that was named Fjordbak. Do you by any chance have more information about Bernhards former family in Denmark? :) Best regards Ann Fjordbak, Denmark

    1. Dear Ann,

I am nearly certain you are related to us.
Grandpa Ben put out a challenge to find any Fjordbak not related to us. No one ever did.

We have been told, I believe it was Grandpa's father who changed his name from Christiansen to Fjordbak.

There were so many Christiansen's, Pedersen's & Hansen's in the area that the mail was getting mixed up. The king asked if anyone would be willing to change his name.

      Ben's parents were
Kreston Joseph Pedersen & Christiane Magadalene Jepsen

      Ben's siblings were
      Jens Peter Jensen
      Petra
      Christian
      Marius
      Sigard
      Jacobine
      Emma
      Andrea Matilda

I hope this reply finds you.

      Your cousin?
      Shelley

  3. Hi...I'm doing family research and Fjordbak and Christensen are both family names. I believe that the name "Fjordbak" refers to the smallholding the family had in Denmark. Do you have any information as to where the farm is located.
